HELP !! No speed limit on NH lakes
All,
I am sure you were all surprised, as we were, about HB162 passing in the NH House. The bill has been passed to the NH Senate into the Transportation committee. The Transportation committee has scheduled a public hearing next Friday, February 24th at 9:00 am in Concord, NH in the Representatives Hall (the main legislative building 107 North Main Street Concord, NH).
THIS has to be a grassroots effort (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grassroots), so we need you to come to the hearing to show the Senate that you still care AND oppose HB162. This is your LAST chance to make a difference.
Action Items:
1. Attend the hearing, February 24th, 9:00 am 107 North Main Street Concord, NH. You do not have to speak, if you wish to speak, please respond to me letting me know. And please pass this information onto anybody who does not get email and can come next Friday.
2. Send letters to all the Senators. It will cost you a total of $15+/- for postage and envelopes.
This link has all their addresses: http://www.gencourt.state.nh.us/sena...temembers.html
3. Call each Senator. See link above for phone numbers.
All of these businesses (http://www.opposehb162.com/opposehb162/whoweare.htm) are behind you and we all your help in this last effort to win the Senate. If you know of any NH businesses that want to be on this list when presented to the Senate, please forward business name, address and contact to [email protected]
Thank you and your help is needed,
Custie

Re: HELP !! No speed limit on NH lakes
Interesting list of those who oppose the bill .
I saw some of the same names of business's on the list that SUPPORTS the bill as posted by one of the blue hairs on winni.com.
Naswa being on of them. They draw a big crowd on the weekends and I can't see them shooting themselves in the foot by supporting a speed bill.
I wouldn't be suprized if the asked the first person the saw and NOT someone who spoke officially for the business to get some of their answers

This IS the final showdown. And, the odds are better than we think. Its far from hopeless, so PLEASE write to the senators!!
P.S. The power of OSO is needed now!.To everybody, please take the time to help us by writing to the senate. Together, we can put a stop to this discriminatory piece of legislation that could ultimately one day, effect all of us.
