The next phase is underway laying out for the gimble and trim tabs, thats one very important hole

What is the thinking on having the tabs that way? Seems like they would only strike the water with the outer edge since the hull displaces it.

I have Swiss cheesed many a transom placing tabs in every different angle and position possible. I find they are best following the vee just inside the Chines. Many will disagree throwing some physics and hydrodynamics into the equation.

I would think the same thing...the water has not flattened out yet from the hull displacement.

I have no experience with tab location. But mark has run em both ways and prefers em straight
