I don't have the answer about the hook on the hull but I will tell you this. I run a AT25 at around 82mph WOT. The boat tends to porp. very little in smooth water but is fine in a little chop. I lower the K-planes till they are the same angle as the bottom of the hull and it stops. I have only lost around 1 mph by doing so. That still blasts past any other manufacturers 25 out there. What type of prop are you running?

My porpoising isn,t light and dropping my tabs enough to control it I loose 4 to 5 mph trying to control it. My prop is a 28 bravo 1 that was labed by mercury racing. If you put a 4' straight edge on the bottom of your boat running it from the transom toward the front of the boat do you have any hook visible (gap between the straight edge and bottom of the boat) on either side?
