I'd love to see a 28, if I could find one somewhere in my area. I'm also considering a 31 Sonic, which seems to have similar lines. What do you think, how do they compare?

LImnatr, I looked @ a new 31ss before I found my AT 28twin....& I sure am glad I waited. Now,... most boaters with little(or average) knowledge think Sonics & AT's are "one in the same", but we who own them know differently. Sonic does make an attractive sport boat; but lets face it, It is not Active Thunder. AT's are made to order, solid, lightweight, custom high performance machines. Just look at the wiring behind the helm of any AT built in the last 10 years...you will be impressed.
Now for the 31ss....with 496 HO's spinning 24B1 props the boat I tested went 68mph. A30' boat w/850hp should, imo, run well into the 70's, if not 80mph. It all depends what you want.
BTW...my 28 came from your area(I think)....Are you near se Iowa? Check out my ad in the classies & if you get over this way, let me know.

While to answer your original ? would require Pat & Co.s input, I would speculate the costto be $135-$140k, w/ goodies.
The boat weighs 5500lbs, w/350magMPI's & Bravos.

Jafo & mobuzz both posting? Damn... Good to see you guys & hope all is well.

I had a great time with my 28 AT & wasn't really looking to sell. It was a great boat & I would definitely consider another AT in the future.

Actually, there were 4 owners. Absent is Randy Wild (OSO name: Wild). He was the original owner. I'm quite sure he was just as happy as the rest of us though.
