Default The loss of your best friend

It's a funny thing how life works and how we are tested along the way. We were in Chicago for the weekend and left my best friend with her "grandma" as we have done many times before. On the way home this morning we got a call that something was wrong and Tanner was headed to the vet. Most of you know my situation and Tanner has been my step daughter for 12 of her 15 years and without question she has become a huge part of my life. It was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do but we had no choice but to put her out of her pain.
I get home this afternoon and now read that JJ has lost his dad and like I said to start this it's funny how we are tested along the way. I know life has its ups and downs, well I'm sure looking for one of those ups right now cause I'm not really sure how much lower I can go.

Mike,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you today. Our pets really are such a big part of our family, it is so hard to loose them.
All I can say is that it will get better, please call if you need anything.

When my wife lost her cat, you would have thought she lost a child. Then we got a sweet little dog that is the light of our lives. We even take her boating with us. I dread the day when...

Sorry for you loss Mike.

Sorry for your loss. I cried more when I had to put down my Lab than when my mother died. We had Fig Newton (chocolate Lab) for 17 good years. Joe Murray

Mike, very sad news.

Three years ago my cat of 17 years died. I was closer to that animal than just about anyone on Earth. I was inconsolable for 3 days.

Hang in there, it will get better.

Sorry for the loss of your pet. We are on the verge of making a hard decision with one of ours.

Mike, I really feel for you and your family. I was buying food at the vet on Saturday for our two, and they had just put another dog down. It was heartwrenching just to see the owners, much less the boy they put down.

I know at this point, you can't think of leaving JJ, but if you feel like a trip to FL, come on down here.
