28' Savage is avialable!!!
I met with Pat at AT yesterday and got the run down on the 28'. It IS available!!! They are not CURRENTLY building any, b/c no one has ordered one. He said it would probably take 4-5 months to build, but he would be happy to do it. Seemed like a stand-up guy and a quality operation.

I had a 2001 28 built and the hull had some problems! My 28 had spider cracks all over the hull and sides. The interior cabin gel work was not the best! Was not happy with the boat - had a 1997 25 and it came out nice. The consistency is not there!

Ask Jafo about his 28'. And ask any one else who owns any other size AT. I think that you will find that there is only one person on this board that has had anything negative to say about the boats. I own a 99 32' w/ t-500 hp's the boat has been awsome. The only problems I have ever had have been Mercruiser problems. Went with Pat and Diane down to Key Largo last Oct. They took a 28'. It was a great running boat. And for a used boat it looked like new.

I own a 1999 28 Savage with a single BB. I love the boat!! The boat is large enough to run hard and handle well in rough water. The cabin is large enough and comfortable enough spend the weekend or longer. Gel work is incredible. If you want to be real fussy, the bottom of the hull has a few stress cracks...nothing out of the ordinary. I dont think you will find a boat that runs hard in rough water that doesnt have them.
As I state a many times already, My wife and I went to South Florida to look at boats in the 31'-33' range. Naturally our first stop was the Active Thunder Factory. We were both told Active Thunder did not want to build the smaller boats. They are too busy building the 37's and they want to concentrate on the larger boats. We inquired about the 32 and we were told to go look at other manufactures I guess I should have talked to Pat myself.
I am glad to hear they will still build the smaller boats. You will be very happy with an Active Thunder.
Good Luck!!

My first boat was a 28 AT with twin small block 350s (300hp) It was a great boat, almost everone that I talked to about it said it looked like a 32, they are the biggest 28s you can buy. It ran in the low 70mph range, and handle LOTO very nice. I did have a few small gremlins in the electronics, but my big consern was when I saw a small crack in the stringer that was next to the Port engine. I sent it down to AT, Pat took care of it, and shortly after that I traded up to a new 32. Great customer service.
I think the 28 is best with a single big block, twins make it slow off the line.
Just my .02
