525s would have to get it to 95 mph.
675s would definately hit 105-110 mph.
750s... 115 maybe all tweaked out on boxes? 120? Could it be?

Thunderdan,
When going over 600HP do you guys recommend #6's simply for longevity and strength? I realize the excessive cost, and I DO MEAN EXCESSIVE for #6's, but I would just be concerned with breaking Bravo's. Am I speaking of which I do not know? Just curious and keep posting pics as this BEAUTY comes to life!

Shane,
I think that once you start to get into the big hp on the larger boats speedmaster drives are the way to go. That is not to say that you can not make a bravo or an Imco last. I would just think that for reliability that speedmaster drives with tranny's are the way to go.
I would also like to see one of these boats with some custom power go out with some pulse drives to see how the boat performs. Harry Schoell bottom, harry Shoell drives, hmmmmm..
Slingshot,
Yes, we have done number 6 drives before and we will be doing another one in the near future.

Not really interested in the Merc 525's. I think their is still too many bugs for Merc to fix and correct. The 500EFI's went through the same process when they were introduced.
Can't you see I'm a fan of Mercruiser??
I emailed a guy on OSO about some 500EFI's he was selling, but I haven't got a response yet. I have someone that can go through the motors, and check all that digital stuff.
I am still going to proceed with looking for custom power for the 33AVH if I get Pat's blessing on the issues we walked about earlier. (I'm still waiting for a response from you and Pat on that...hint..hint..Chief engines.....remember??)
On, and by the way....did you not tell me that you had a pair of 525's at the AT plant that you were raffling away at $5.00 a ticket??? Catch you later.... Adam
