Mnfastboat - question 4 U
Hey I have some questions for you. First I was wondering how low a speed your boat will stay on plane at, and I'm asking cuz the guy here with the twin 800's was telling me he cant stay on plane below 40mph, and that leads me to the next question... he has a very high X dimention and before he buys drive spacers, or standoff boxes, I told him I'd see if you could measure yours to get some sort of basis to work from.
He doesn't have much trouble getting on plane, just his low speed cruising. It seems to lose bite, and blow out the prop, and conciquently, come off plane on him at around 40mph. He often has couples out on his boat that dont have quite the wild hair that he does, so low speed cruising is all they want to do when with him. His cruise rpm is over 70mph, and from 50 to 100, well lets just say I'm waiting for the seats to break from the g-force, but he still wont tell me his best speeds, all he says, is" too much", and the 34 bravo's are still too small. He figures a better low end cruise speed is worth whatever it costs him on the top end after he lowers the x-dim change. THis is one of the first times I've heard of someone wanting to lower an x dim. Usually its the other way around.

Wow, someone asking for me
Depending on the water, chop higher then 6 inches makes it harder, but I can slow down to about 2200rpm and that nets me about 25mph.
But as LHC30 mentioned, that is with a trim tab!
I have a single center custom tab that is bolted under the notch.
This thing works GREAT. Helps tremdously getting on plan, I can beat alot of smaller boats on plane.
I am looking at changing my tab to a Keikafer just like what the 30' Daytona;s run. But am having a hard time getting the exact info.
Without the tab in place I too loose plane around 35-40
More people, easier to drop plane.
My cruise that i like is min of 50-55. Perfect for just about any water conditions i normally ride in.
I would LOVE to have a ride in his boat sometime.
You have any pics of it?
if you need any thing else feel free to call me, or your friend can also

btw, I have to go and pay my winter storage tomorrow, I will see if I can get into measure mine out.
By memory my center of torpedo is about 1-1.5 inches BELOW the sponsons lowest point.
I will post when I know for sure
I too have thought about getting boxes. Just to give me a better offset and cleaner waters to hope for higher speeds.

Thanks for the response, I'm not sure if he has a center tab or not, I'll give him a shout and pass your number along for him, and see if he has any pic's of it. It's got a pretty wild falme Job, and scoops for the blowers, it's a sweet looking ride for sure.
Tabs who needs em..... not me anyway!
