Re: 41 Apache Owners, need help!!!
OKay so a simple relocation of this is easy then. DONE DEAL, Just cant stomach the fact that someone would desecrate the lines of an apache with some dookie azz air horn set up on the deck.
WTF were they thinking?
about 20 minutes after I get that thing in my driveway, those horns are OFF! I have a can of bondo waiting to fill the small holes where it was already and if I have to Ill spot prime that area so its not so noticeable. She is going to get shot all white anyway in the next few months so it wont be so long but I am DYING to just take it out for a little while, I need that chit eatin grin on my face! Been a LONG time since I have smiled at a boat.
Thanks Robert!!! You da MAN!
So would you guys crucify me if I painted this boat like War Party? Not exactly but close to its paint scheme LOL?

Jay,
DON'T USE "BONDO" ON YOUR BOAT! It's porous and will absorb water. Go to a marine supply and get "West System" marine epoxy resin and the micro fiber addmixture for fairing. Just mix up the resin and then add in the fibers to get the same consistency of "Bondo". Because it is a resin it won't absorb water. West Marine stores carry the product, but it is not made by them. If you have a West Marine catalog, you can look it up in there and get the proper addmix. I would tell you what I used, but all that is still packed away after the move and won't be unpacked 'til I get the new home/garage built.
Maybe next summer we will have an APACHE weekend down here, like Roger is doing up north.

It would on Lake Lanier, Georgia. I don't know of any host hotels that we could do it at, as the hotel at Lake Lanier Islands has been sold to a private developer. The only place that we could go is Cocktail Cove and raft everyone together and see and be seen
