On Texoma you can actually run from the state police boats. Believe it or not the border is on the lake and they actually do follow it so you can outrun their jurisdiction. The coast gaurd on the other hand is a different story. You can see it real good at night when the TX police are looking for boozers at night during a holiday. One day when I uhh..........didn't make it back with the rest of the boat they told me "another 200 yards and you'd of been home safe" and then I bought my first go-fast.
Up here we are not so lucky since it is such a confined area the New Jersey State Police pretty much know where every hiperformance boat is docked (by name ).If someone calls in a complaint (alot of time a sailboater or anyone who happened to come in contact with the Apache Warrior-no offense Steve LOL)t he state police would actually wait at the dock (i actually had some past experience with this myself.)

The diver story goes like this.Once upon a time there were two scuba divers who happened to be diving off Sandy Hook (on the Atlantic Ocean side) when along comes Leaf in the Apache Warrior.Steve apparently did not see the dive buey (or know what it was )and almost hit the two of them as they were surfacing (one guy claimed to get caught in the prop wash ).The divers ALEDGED the boat was going at a high rate of speed. As i said earlyier i know one of the divers brothers from school and no BS they were quite upset.

I know what you guys are going to ask YES there is a chance the Warrior was on its way to that particular beach to check out the talent when the divers got in his way.

Now if I get the boat done by mid summer I will need some volunteers to help me find this "nude" beach...Just so we can recreate the "crime" scene.

I'll have to pass on that one...... Over the summer we were fluking on my buddies boat and we drifted by there..... Let's just say that there's not much talent if any at all......bunch of oldies with droopy tata's and well,,,, lets just say they are folks that most likely live exotic lifestyles if you catch my drift........I'll pass...
