I look at it like this- anyone can buy a working boat. All it takes is money- or an ability to make a payment- even a silly one for 240 months. Building your own or doing a major resto gets you membership into a very exclusive club- something you can't buy your way into.

Brought home a running boat a year ago.
A week later I had it torn apart.
Never touched the water, and has been in pieces ever since.
Haven't even touched it this summer because I've been working 12+ hrs. 6 days a week.

Man this is one of those threads that is taking a turn for the better.........A classic boat that you have rebuilt with your own hands and you run hard.....You will get way more respect for a old school boat with big power.....But only from th e guys who know......Give me some time and a few more beers and i will think of a name for the new t-shirts....
