If they would have taken the hook out of the factory pleasure boats and raised the x a little higher the boats would have picked up a fair amount.

1.36 gear 34 merc cleaver 5250 rpm on the limiter 109 mph hard as hell to get on plane .

7250 lbs after race min weight we could be the boat was right on the money for weight .
Are those extension boxes in the pics? Where they are there when you had the boat? 1.36 gear with 34 pitch props and high X. You bet that thing was hard to get on plane. Even harder on the outdrive internals too.

Are you saying that all of them had a hook?

I may look at mine,
Keep you all posted
Yes to the hook most that left the factory had a hook in the running pad and if you straighten it out it lets it carry the bow much easier and the higher x gives them a lot more speed most factory boats had a fairly deep x.
Most of the factory awesomes that i saw with 500 hp and 30 bravos would run 93 mph to 97mph

Yes they were stock 500 sealed by merc when i dynoed them they made 509 hp and 510 hp at legel super cat min weight the way the boat was set up it went a best of 109 and would run 106 to 107 any day 34 merc cleavers they would turn 5250 on limiter and with 31 hydromotive that were worked over by tom at hydromotive the boat would run the same speed better cruise still bang the limiter.

Can you help me set mine up like that?
I'm having a hard time getting over 96 with 1:36 and 30's. I Put 32's on and could NOT spin them over 4600!

Well since your ran the b.s flag up the pole do you know what you are doing since you are calling me a lier do you know the power they are making real power not what you think they are making ,x deminsion ,weight ,weight bias, drives on extension boxes if ther is a hook in the bottom all of these things effect speed and handeling.

I also know of other awesomes and american with big power that were pigs i put a lot of time into setup to get it to run as good as it did .

Also you dident say what prop you were running but i asume they are bravos they are not as fast as the wheels i ran and tested and i tested a lot of props.

And as i stated in the above post most STOCK SETUP awesomes ran the speeds you are running.

That boat was set up to be a race boat from day one it ran and handled different than a bone stock awesome.

Phil p999 i would be glad to help you out but if you want keep running the b.s flag up the pole you can plow that thing into a seawall for all i care.

Also keep in mind that your hull is a american and i have no clue to what eds weight and all other set up things are on your boat .

post what you know about your boat ie all of the things i talked about above .

And if you are free this weekend come up to port huron for the race i will be racing this weekend and i can talk to you about your boat.

Yes i would be glad to help you in any way i can i have lots of useless knowledge not b.s

easy

the reason I said I think it's "bs" is that my boat is similar in setup.

500 efi's, 10" extension boxes, X dim. set at 1" above. The props are 30 lab 4blade B1's, 1.36 gear. Best 96mph 5250.

when you say race boat, do you mean that weight has been removed or shifted around?

What are these 34 cleavers you are running? 3 blades? I had put a set of 32 4 blades and could not spin them over 4600.

I am missing something here. What is the "off the trailer weight" of this boat?
