2003 Awesome 31'
Heading to Florida shortly to look at a 2003 Awesome 31..
Wondering if there's any problem areas I need to look at. ?
Also, what speed should I expect with 525's and XRs ?
Any one recognize it ?
THANKS !

I talked to Doug today. He is going on a sea trial in a couple of days. Sweet boat with some great equipment. A "new to him" cat may be headed to Texas. Best of luck to you Doug.

Well, it didnt go exactly as planned..
But I now OWN IT.
The owner had the mechanic at the marina change impellers, batteries, and run it to assure it would be ready for the sea trial as it's been sitting since January. They hooked the hose to the flush ports on the transom and ran the engines .. unfortunately, these ports put the water in AFTER the sea pumps and are meant simply for flushing and NOT for running the engine.. so basically, they replaced impellers.. then burned them up.. lol
We did Have it idling in the water for a few minutes before we realized it wasnt pumping water when the exhaust started to get warm.. one engine was puffing out the oil fill. They're fresh builds havent even had the oil changed yet . so guessing a ring broke upon assembly..
The seller is an AWESOME guy. We negotiated a price we were both happy with and completed the deal..
Now just have to get it back to Texas ..

The guy on the left looks totally stoked and the guy on the right, somewhere between happy and sad. I hope that's you on the left.
Nice looking boat, hope you get her sorted quickly and on the water. Congratulations.

I had about given up after the last couple boats I looked at..

Oops! Should have kept my keyboard closed.
Vendor sounds like a nice guy, he was probably excited for both of you. Enjoy your cat, she looks great.
