Sharing my pain
Well looks like I might have the ol 302 sold.
Friggin killing me becasue I just put new manifolds, recirc and seawater pumps on.
AND Had to put in a new port engine!
Sheesh - not to mention I'm letting it go for 46K to boot. At least the guys gets a year warranty on it.
Anybody else having to drop their price way low to sell their boat?
I just got to the point where I want to move it. Any last minute interest make yer offer!

Re: Sharing my pain
Just got off the phone with a buddy of mine that has a MINT very low hour 35 Fountain with 575's and he has dropped his price by $30K from where he was last year and still cannot move his boat.
The new Fountain dealer here on Norman has not sold his first boat yet and has had 3 in stock for three months now.
I think the fuel prices are having a lot to do with it, plus the dealers like Fountain, Baja and Formula have a lot of incentives going on and no one wants to take a boat in trade anymore.
Think I'll just keep mine, add blowers and be HAPPY!
Good Luck

Re: Sharing my pain
I'm still boating, just something smaller. Looking at Hammers, 22 Donzis, etc. My oldest is 13 now and wants to wakeboard. Some of the most fun I ever had boating was with my 202 Islander with a 350 maggie in it. I've owned 3 Bajas so it is almost expected to stick with it. (I can reuse my beer huggies).

Re: Sharing my pain
Hey shooter,
Did andrew from tampa come and see you? Is that who is buying it? I am new to the forum, but saw your classified and when my buddy called me re: a 29 scarab he was thinking about, I emailed him your ad.
Hopefully he buys it so I have a boat when I visit him in the winter ( I'm outside of Toronto Canada, long off season!)
I'm driving an H2X with a 454 mag, love it, 70 MPH, and it makes a mean wakeboard boat with the tabs down.

Re: Sharing my pain
H2X, Sent you a PM
My friend had a 29 Scarab, nice boat, but kinda slow and small. He sold it and moved to a 33AVS.

Re: Sharing my pain
Now is not a good time to sell boats. Gas prices have everyone scared. Once the fear is over things will move again.
Scary thing is for dealers and manufacturers. Lots of 05 inventory still sitting.
Great time to buy though. I thought of selling my boat but after seeing what people were getting and realizing the above, I decided not to.
