Default 04 Outlaw 25 496HO Vs 02 496Mag

Okay, Bikinilover has a b!tchin 02 Outlaw SST with 496 Mag Bravo X 150 hours with LOTS of extra goodies. He's asking $53.9K but I haven't spoken to him yet and don't know how negotiable the price is. Just looked at his ad.

There is a dealer in KY with a 04 SST 496HO, under 50 hours. They are asking low $60K's but he said make him any offer. I'm thinking in the $50K's.

Both look very nice and I figure within a year or so (probably sooner) I'll add the Raylar package with the new CMI's. So will that negate the difference between a Mag and HO? Neither boat has external steering.

I had considered new 23's but these are both cheaper and much more boat. I am also looking at a few 24 Pantera's and a Superboat. Still shopping but hope to buy soon.

Any thoughts on how these two compare?

I also have ruled out 29's with twin power even though there a few really good deals on those out there two.

2 years and a HO is worth well over $5K.

The only speed difference in a Mag (375) and an HO (425) is 2 to 3 mph. You can lab the prop and get that. My boat shows as new and already has all the bling on it. If you buy the 04 you will be out more money then you will have to add all the bling. Of course I would go with the 02 with the mag but I am bias. I ordered the boat from Baja with a few custom things done to it and I am the original owner. The boat has been garage kept its whole life and it shows. Also has transferable extended warranty until 02/07. Give me a call and lets talk!!! 817-319-7352 Corey

What is the difference internally in a mag and an HO? I believe all it is is the cam and a different ECU. Correct me if I am wrong!!

I thought that was the case as well. That's why I'm wondering about the Raylar kit negating the diff. I belive the kit comes with cam, heads, ecu, etc. If it does then it wouldn't make sense to pay the extra for the HO if I'm going to change it all anyway. I guess I should place a phone call to Raylar.

Corey, I'll give you a call this weekend. Will you be around?

Thanks.

not as much difference in the mag and ho as the old 7.4 versus 454 mag, the pistons and crank are cast on the ho and mag, that was the best difference in the 7.4 to mag

Heres another 2002 with the HO in it as well as labbed prop by Houston. All the options Baja offered 3 fifferent covers (2 custom made & 1 factory) Bought new, 95 hours and always stored inside. Looks like new! e-mail me at [email protected]. I will send some pictures that I took this weekend. I am going bigger.
