Thanks for the detailed response,77 mph I could believe (with benefit of being at sea level,salt water buoancy and probably a light load).If you take my estimated speed for his package of 74 mph and add in the mentioned factors 3 more mph wouldn't be out of the question. I can tell you from my experience with these single engine baja's that near 80 mph it takes power gains of 20 plus hp to gain a mph because the hydrodynamic load starts increasing rapidly,Smitty

Stock engine, labed prop, no mufflers. Yes GPS speeds. On labor day, 67 degrees, 2/3 gas, 4 people on board : 70 mph. I have never seen less than 66-67 mph with that boat no matter passengers/gas load.

How fast is a Baja 25 with an HP 500 or HP 525
How much more do you have to pay for those blue engines ?
I think the Raylar Kit is worthevery penny due to its results and what is even more importand - the factor of customer satisfaction (from 5 kits I have driven myself) is 100 %

@272 ownwers - How fast is a 272 with HP 500 or HP 525 ?

Best regards

quick wash the bottom of that boat, that alone should give you 1 mph.

good luck with the raylar keep us posted with both the good and bad (if any), nice looking boat.
