I ve had a 24 ol 502 with cmi's ecu, k&n, ran 66, 99 25 same motor and mods ran 68.7, both gps, both test at lake travis in summer, 2 men no gear, low fuel

You have to remember with Radar you can get cosign effect. Basically the radar is returning at a funky angle and can make for false readings (reads high). If you are running, the best practice is to point it straight ahead at a steady target (large ship, bouy, etc.)

I agree. I would definitely doubt the copīs radar before I doubt a GPS reading. Global Positioning System canīt, by definition, give a continuous false reading. Isolated readings can be wrong, but not continuous ones. The recall on my Livorsi digital GPS will give me occasionally a "stray" of 120 mph, but mostly its right on the money.
