I store mine inside the head on our 36 when we are running.

We store them over the side of the boat when docked.

Those are really sharpe holders, but I don't have any place to mount them on our boat?

To tell you the truth Doc I really am not sure I have room either,, (new-to-us) boat. But we want to take full advantage of the cockpit space in the 38 so I am trying to find a place for everything..

I fully understand.

It has been several years since I was on a 38 Special. Since they have a generator option I would think that you would have room to mount these in the engine compartment.

Good luck

I store mine in the head as well when under way. There really isn't much room under the hatch.I keep 4 large fenders in there.

Behind the drivers bolster is where the black water tank is. Between the tank and batteries you can put 3 large bumpers. Just unbolt the floor cover and cut a hole for a hatch lid. Works great.

I put one of those stainless steel fender holders like they use on cruisers for the bow rail. I mounted it on the battery side above the batteries. It is mounted at an angle so it is easy to get the fenders in and out. Also easy access and only had to lift the hatch up partially to remove. When you want to work in the engine compartment then remove the bumpers and they fold right against the side. Best place I could find and my wife would b**tch if they were in the head.

Those billet holders retail for 199.00 each

I do like Doc. I use the head for storage.
