Hey socalstone - I am going to be in the same position. I am moving to Huntersville/Lake Norman area in August/Sept. '08. Coming from Ohio with Lake Erie being the lake I boat on primarily.

I hear Lake Norman is a good time. Hopefully it will be as good as PIB. I'm looking forward to having by 245 on Norman.

120,000 thats a lot for a 26 with 600, I think you can get in to a 32sutphen with one of those motors about the same price, theres a 2005 with 800hp running 84 to 86 it's mint its 130,000. super boat is 30 footer and I bet for for a 100,000 you could get a 525. If BAJA would sell the 525 for 80 to 85 out the door I bet they would move a lot My self I like the blue motors or custom. I wish they would sell there boats no power, so you can set your own X and power, thats why my nexted boat will be a joker 28, sutphen 32 or superboat y2k, nexted year. for 50,000 I will have a new boat with with low hour used parts I had a ride in the first new 32 with used 850hp in during the canceled cape race in 04 we ran 65 to 75 gps in high winds 4 to 6 footers and it felt like riding in a 37 OL, I COULDN'T BELIEVE HOW NICE THE BOAT JUST SMASHED THROUGH THE WAVES we could of gone faster but the engine builders 14yr old was on the boat and she was getting nervous All 3 of us told her the faster we go the smoother the ride and its true

Talk to your dealer! I know they can order the boat "blank" but i don't know price diffence that way. Its rigged and all, just no motor and drive.

We moved down here around the end of July. We're in concord now temporarily. I like it very much so far. Found a house we love on the lake and finally settled on a price and ratified the contract this week. We'll be in for next summer. I've had my boat on norman a half a dozen times. it's a good lake. My boat is just too small- built for rivers and smaller lakes.
I'm already noticing the warmer climate. 70's through most of November. haven't had a real cold yet -although this week is supposed to be cold.

I'll look into the superboat and the others you mentioned. I definitely want to stick with a single though.
