She said 02 and yes twin step 502's. I pay attention to all the details of any sweet boat. Fountain's are really growing on me. I'll post video next time we run, this way I will have proof.

Can't say I have ever seen a Fountain with black motors. Our local dealer has never had one in stock that I am aware of.
I have driven a 29, two 35's and a 42 with 500's and one 38 with 575's. They are FAST.
A 42 with 500's has a 10 MPH advantage over my 36 Outlaw with STOCK 500's all day long.
Oops,
I take that make, I just remembered a buddy with a 32 Fountain that has black 502's. I did run him last year after we got our engines back in and did pull away from him slightly.

Plenty of 35's out there with black motors, 502 EFIs and 496 HO's. Even saw a 42 Executioner advertised somewhere with 496 HOs. But blue motors are usually the norm on twin step 35s and all the bigger models.

so it you slightly pulled away from a 32 with 502's wouldn't it be possible for moses to pull away form a 42 with 502's? the 42 hull even though it is fast cant be faster that the 32 with 502's could it? what speeds are you seeing now doc? upper 70's? have always loved your boat.
The 42 that our friend had with 500's was a 2001 model and it ran 82 to 83 MPH. With 502's I would guess it would be a 73 to 74 MPH boat just guessing, which is about where my 36 ran with stock 500's.
Could he pull away ? YES but I would think they are pretty closely matched from my experience.
My boat is running just under 80 MPH right now. We will see what happens as soon as I can water test with the new one inch shorties. That may get me to the magic 80 MPH mark.
Always nice when you can pass a beak boat! Keep up the good work Moses.

When my motors were stock the 32 could out run me. We now have 600 HP per side and actually I was a little surprised that I pulled away from him like we did. He was surprised also. It sure makes you feel good. My mid range accelleration is awesome.

I love when everyone starts chat'n. Like I said I will be on the water this weekend with my video camera. I promise I will get that women to open her snatch oops I mean hatch and I will document motors verify the size of boat she did mention they were staggered motors. And she's a pretty cool chick so I think we can stage a race too. Does it still count when I spray my nitrous. Just kidden no power adders. I can't wait!!!
