Clarion CD Changer Model Number Needed
Any of you with 30 OL's happen to have the factory upgraded stereo system with tweeters and 6 disc changer? If so, can yuo tell me the model number of the changer? I am doing stereo upgrades to mine and want to use factory choice equipment. Also, how far apart are the tweeters mounted from the mids? Looks like 4" or so, but not sure.
Thanks.

Ian,
I'll check this weekend. Do you know which head unit you have (XMD3?). I have an extra changer at home that worked with my old XMD1, don't know if it works with the later models or not. I'll be taking out the rest of my Clarion stuff very soon (XMD3 head unit, changer, and remotes). I already ditched the 2 Clarion amps and all of the Clarion 6.5's except for the set in the cabin.
I'm just waiting for a good EBAY deal on an Alpine head unit and then I need to find 3 of the Access Technologies marine remotes. I'm just not a fan of the Clarion stuff. In my last boat the sound quality increased tremendously when I replaced the head unit with an Alpine! PAC Audio makes a converter that works with the Access Technologies marine remotes and allows you to control just about any head unit that came with an infared remote. I used it on my last boat and it's pretty slick!

Chris: Head is XMD3. I have ordered all Clarion stuff. Remotes, component speakers, subs, but will be going with Memphis Audio amp. 5/1 channel. Single amp will push 4 speakers in cabin and both subs on 5th channel. Did your boat come with the Clarion "upgrade" system? Thanks!
