Default 33 Outlaw Hull Changes and Top Speed

What kind of top speed can I expect from an '02 model with 496 HOs? Boat is loaded out, A/C, galley, etc. Also, in an '03 Powerboat Test they say Baja added a pad to the bottom for that year. Anyone know the details on this? Any performance difference from '02 to '03?

I remember seeing that article.

I asked Jay P. of baja about it last fall,
and he said there was no difference in the
33 o/l hulls throughout the production.

They may have made some mods
( insert blank for pad in mold) on some ??

I've looked at mine, an 02', and I've
looked at one's that were suppose to
have the alleged pad ( 04' and up), and I couldn't
tell any difference.

Jason is right on the speed #'s

Thats what I was thinking as far as the pad. Never saw it mentioned anywhere other than that one Powerboat article. Was hoping 75 - 76 was possible with the HO's, guess not.

I don't even want to think about what a set of CMI's for twins would cost. Installation would be fun too....

What power, props, drive ratio were you running in your 33' outlaw to reach speeds in the 90's?
