Not a Baja, so can'thelp you on the placement, but I made a tight fitting box to mount my flatscreeen TV that secures the outside of mine, plus the back mounting holes to, then mounted the box to my cabinet wall. The back alone of the TV didn't look sturdy enough to take the beating a boat dishes out. Wrapped in vinyl to finish it off. The box frame is wedge shaped to angle the TV to the other side of the cabin.

Just mount it to the wall. You can remove the speaker on that side to get access to run the power wire and RG6 for satellite to the gunnels, then back to the engine bay to the battery. If you're buying a home tv, you'll need to install a power inverter to power it up.

There are several Flat screens that are advertised as 120VAC, but really are just DC TV's that have the AC to DC convertor in the power cord, like your laptop PC. Some are 16VDC, some 12VDC. Look on the rear of the TV's where they plug in if the cord has the convertor box in it to see what the DC power input is. Mine is a Sharp Aquos that happens to be 12VDC input. I picked up a plug from Radio Shack that plugs into the TV and wired it directly from my cabin's 12V fused power panel. Or could just cut the plug off and use it. I wanted to keep my cord uncut. I don't have to hassle with an invertor. I have shorepower and onboard battery charger, so draining a battery is not an issue while at the dock, but it would take
several hrs anyways to drain a battery down with just the TV while out on the water.
