So am I backwards in my thinking? Is the photo showing Fountains made at the Baja plant, not Bajas made at the Fountain plant?

Its definately a liner. Maybe its a tribute to the man who made Baja what it is today............."The Bill Regan Edition".

Will,

It looks very nice and I am glad to see that some finished product will be out soon for the dealers.

Here is what I understand and maybe you can confirm.

1) Fountain will be making all the seats themselves.
(no more Baja / McLeod)
2) They will be painting on the graphics.
(no more in gel graphics)
3) They are under a time frame set by Brunswick to get finished product out the door which is why we are seeing liner boats.
(they ran out of time to redesign to stringer construction)
4) They did bring down a former Baja employee to assist.
5) They will convert all boats in time back to stringer design.

I hope it all works out and maybe Baja will be the saving grace for Fountain.

No in gel graphics? Bummer. I guess that makes changing them easier late in the boats life.

As far as the liner/stringer switch, wasnt the liner system a decent idea for saving weight and reducing production time? Was the liner system less rigid/rugged? Im curious, not debating one or the other. Seems like an awful amount of work to switch back to stringers if the liner system worked.

Again, just being curious.

Do a search here and read up on the liner construction. From the information I have read here on the forum the liners were what put Baja under. Too many problems and failures.

Im afraid Im going to let you down here. No boat currently other than the Sundancer I share with my parents.

The name Tristar Racing was from a few years ago, basically I needed a title to do business with some of the contacts I made in Nascar and NHRA while I was at Goodyears racing department. I just use the name for forums mostly now.

Im looking to get into the go-fast market, possibly with the new Pachanga, but true to my engineering background Im trying to find out every little detail possble so I dont make a mistake with the boat I buy.

This liner deal has me concerned if in fact the Pachanga will be contructed that way, which I assume since it shares the Hammer X's hull it will...

As far as true racing, besides autocross and the occasional track day, Im not much of a racer myself. Too expensive, haha.
