Yes sir my 502 would burn approx. 1 quart everytime out if you ran it for anytime length of time.

Not normal unless you just changed the oil, I think those blocks hold like 7.5 Qt so it could have just been in the motor and not in the pan when you measured it??

Wouldn't worry too much about it unless it does it everytime you go out?
