I posted in General questions. Hopefully some Baja buds might have seen this?
Was going along when I saw water pressure drop then alarm. Shut down. Some water in the bildge.
A fitting on the stbrd manifold. If you follw the seapump supply hose it goes to a t fitting continues on to the powersteering cooler. Well off this tee a hose goes to a fitting on the bottom of the manifold. There no clamp seems like hard plasitc. This appears to pop back in but will slip right off with any type of pressure.
I did not attemp to remove the fitting. Unsure if I will be able to spin it around fully to unscrew it.
I'll atemp tommorow. Burned out and riding back on one engine. Long day.
Trying to see what part it is. I looked here but cant see it clear in the pics.

This happened to us in a 242 Islander down in your neck of the woods. Your right, it appears it should pop back on, but after many frustrating attempts we realized we had to replace the part. I got with Bill McBride from Page Racing at Sanibel Harbour and he overnighted the part and replaced it.

Yep
I removed the whole fitting assembly thats screws into the exhaust .Then I was able to pop it back together. I added a hose clamp for extra security.
Too me it seems it designed to blow off if needed but dont really hear of it.
I am going to backflush the system. I'll remove the hose from the pwr steeting cooler and flush it back from the heat exchanger. Will hose pressure do the job?
I just changed the impellors on both engines last week. They were original. Both is good shape..No blades missing. 140hrs
The smartcraft did display higher water pressure 30 psi. Did not seem off the charts though.
I just purchased diacom. My laptop took a dump. Less than a year old. Send in for Warr. They said 7-10 day tunraround. we'll see.
