I need help choosing the right props for my 29’ Baja Outlaw. Boat is powered by stock twin 454 Mag MPI’s. Currently I am running 25P 3 blades. They are slightly abused with some minor dings in them. I am only pushing about 4100 RPM’s with these. I am looking for some feedback to what is the best fit for this setup. I am leaning toward 4 blade props but unsure of the pitch I should use. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I responded to your other post but you should be able to turn the 25s faster than that. I would find another pair to try before spending money on smaller props. Typically the 3 blades were good props for the older 29s lower x diminsion. 4 blades will give you some extra cruising speed but cost you a few mph at top end.

My 2000 29ol would turn 4600 rpm with 7.4 MPI's and 25p Mirage Plus props. Are you sure you are not turning 5100 rpm's ? I traded my 25's for 24p Bravo 1's that droped the rpm to 4550 and lost about 1 mph on top end, but the 25's were to hard to get on plane on Lake Erie in 3-4 footers without blowing-out. When I tested 24" labbed props, they were the best all around prop for speed, and take-off.
