No 342, not a problem, if we have or know any customers wanting to part with a 302 I will let you know
Baja Will,

I would say they were refering to my numbers......they are by the way, GPS numbers. Not sure why they would think a 30' boat with HO's wouldn't see 75-78 MPH.

I think it was the 550 upgrade, I know it included the headers, I swear I thought the dyno was 565hp, but I am not 100% sure. If some one is serious I can pull the maint record on the boat, its at our Lake Dealership, I am at the Beach.

I have a 2000 29 outlaw I need to sell. I belive that it is the same bottom correct? and you cant beat the alum swim platform in my opinion. The reason I NEED to sell is its time to go twin steppin!!!

Hey guys there is no doubt that a 30 footer with good power twins will run in the mid to upper 70's. The only thing I was asking for were real world gps numbers and not the dream meter numbers. The frustrating thing with the numbers is that when your buddy has a boat that runs 70 mph and your shopping for some new fiberglass its always nice to have the new ride go 72 mph......or faster. Its the old "I wanna be faster then my duddy" senario. It's a killer to buy a boat thinking its faster then it actually is and then the boat runs 68 mph.....meaning your buddy is spanking your azz all day.
Thats all, thats it.
thanx,
mike

Well...for what I am interested in and want...a 302, an older 280 or possibly a 320...I dont see any problem with running at least 75 on the GPS in either the 302, 280 or the 320 with twin 640+ horsepower bullets pushing it. I am not after the water speed record on any local lake...and I have no doubt that my best buds Baja 232 Islander will outrun either of these...but I honestly dont care. My ride will be smoother.

You are absolutely right....the bigger the better.....and it would be awesome to have 540's.
