Went to Charlotte early Saturday morning and saw the 1990 280ES and took it out for a run. The boat did great...ran 68 on the gps and I couldnt find any rot on it anywhere. Motors were carb 7.4's rated at 330 hp. Drives looked good and it shifted in and out of gear without a hitch. Basically, the boat looked as good standing next to it as it did in the pics that were sent to me. Only problem I have with it is the trailer. Its in pretty bad shape and will require quite a bit of work...so I have to do some thinking on this puppy.

Talked to a guy on the phone last night with a 98, 29 Outlaw with 7.4 MPI moptors in it. He wants to trade his Outlaw to downsize for my 89 Islander and some cash. I have to think on this and come up with a fair number for the cash...or what I consider fair anyway. He is asking 43K for the boat, but again...trailer issues with this one. I need to talk to him somemore and see what he will do for a trailer.

I know of another 29 Outlaw, 2000 model with 7.4 MPI motors that is very nice...never been to salt water and he is asking to pick up his note with 46K left. This boat is a contender...looks very nice in the pics and its only about 250 miles from me. Going for a road trip on the GoldWing this Saturday morning and have a look-see.

I have looked at a couple of 302's but so far the asking prices for the 302's are way more than I am willing to pay. I am still looking, but it looks like I am going to blow those off.

I have a 2000 w 454 mag mpi's 385 hps. I have owned the boat since new. Trailer is a heritage that I bought new in 06. Boat has never been in salt. It has some hours on it but I have had the oils changed at 25 hours every time. I also just had the new fuel delivery systems put on that DOES stop it from having vaopr lock issues. I own the boat outright and am willing to deal. I AM moving up to a Top Gun. Boat is in Tulsa in my warehouse and has always been kept in my warehouse when not in use. Again I am ready to move it.
