I am looking for one, but everyone might be on the lookout for a certain 1997 Boss 302 some scamer is trying to sell on E-bay. He is asking 18K for the boat and he pays shipping. I asked him where the boat was at so that I could inspect it and all he would tell me is that it is in some shippers warehouse in Ohio and that the shipper would not refund his money. I reported him to the E-bay people and 2 hours later the ad was pulled. It is a very nice looking boat...probably worth somewhere in the 50's, but it isnt this dudes boat that is advertising it.

My 302 has stock HO's with labbed props. I can run 75-78 with a load. If you pushed it w/o a load, you might get slightly more. It's for sale!!!

I am looking for a 1997 up to a 2002. Motors dont matter as long as they are BBC originals. I have a pair of new, dyno time only 540 motors going back in. Price is also a big thing...I dont want to drop a ton of money. I have located a 1999 302 with a blown motor, but the guy still thinks it is worth 75K. I made an offer to him and told him that the offer is good for 30 days...after that I told him that I would help him with adoption papers as he can keep it.

I have always liked the looks of a 302. I also like the looks of the older 1990 & 1991 280ES and the 320. I dont know what it is about them...they just look sharp to me. I dont want to be the fastest boat on the pond, but I do want it to be able to run at least 75 on a GPS. The 540's that I built are fairly tame...only making 645 and 646 HP and that should be more than enough to run 75, but it should allow me to cruise at 50 to 55 with a low rpm and a good fuel burn.
