Sonic 260 vs Baja 25
I know the Baja with the same motors is probably faster. But has anyone ridden in both of these boats? would love feedback. I currently have a 232 baja, and after 1 year, i got the bug already...thanks for the input!

Owned a 26' Sonic, and have been on several 25' Bajas. If you are ever planning on running on Lake Michigan or LOTO, or anything more than 2 footers or so, you will probably appreciate the ride of the Sonic over the Baja. If you are just going to stay on the the Chain, the Baja will suit you fine as far as ride goes. The Sonic is going to be a bit heavier, more solid, and predictable. The Baja will be faster and a bit lighter on its toes compared to the Sonic. The Sonic will try to go through more than it will go over, compared to the Baja.
Price wise, there are a lot more 25' Bajas out there than 26' Sonics, so you will probably find a Baja closer to you, and slightly more attractive in price.
The Baja will have a fair amount more of cockpit room vs. the Sonic. The Sonic will have a nicer/bigger cabin. The Sonic will be much easier to work on than the Baja, due to the back seat back raising with the hatch.
The Baja will average 4800 lbs. or so. The Sonic will be more along the lines of 5300-5500 lbs. or so. The Sonic also has 102 gallon fuel tank; which is bigger (heavier) than the Baja; as well as a fresh water tank.
2003-ish brought a new layup process to Sonic, which made them about 300-400 lbs. or so lighter, so be sure to follow up in the Sonic forum when you start to narrow your choices down.
I can also think of another boat you could look at too.

Wow thanks for the info! i was wondering about the room in the seating area on both boats, i know my current boat has more room than both though.
ok, ill bite...whats that?
looking for something around 25 feet or so, i am on the chain and probably wont got to LOTO but once every couple of years.
