A few more photos. As far as shorties go I am going to run the boat with boxes on and see what happens. I have spent a little more than what I wanted as boxes and shaft that were sent were not exactly what I was told they were and the normal additional cost of items that I did not forsee. If I need shorties they will come in the future.

Well now that you know what your doing grab your partner and head to Michigan. All the parts are there well other than the ones you've found you where missing. Just let me know what I need to order and I'll have it waiting for you...Heat will be on and boat ready for you..

Looking good Will hopefully I'll get to see it tomorrow if I get my ass to bed so I can get on the road in the morning.

The old rule of thumb was for every foot back
go up 3" ( i.e. IMCO making a 3" raised box)

I think it probably has more to do with running
angle, and current X dimension

If the boat runs flat, it doesn't need to come up that much.

If the X is already fairly high, it wont have to come up as much either, but it still needs to come up some.

Let's say current prop height is 7.25" adding 12" neutral box and adding -2" Imco Shorty..

That's a pretty deep original X.....it would be nice
to get it up a little higher,( at least into the 4" neighborhood)

The older boats ( late 90's early 0's)with boxes
didn't have them set all that high....that would
probably where you would be, comparatively.

JS's would be the one to try to duplicate ( X dimension)

Unless I'm not measuring something right thats how deep the prop is..I dunno??? I'll never get to 4" without a IMCO upper..Not in budget.

They have worked on 2 other 302's and 2 29's I know of with the -2" shoties. Now granted my X might be deeper. Boat just blows out props on initial takeoff stands on it's ass blowing out props.

No not adjustable...Only Stellings was adjustable. Would like to go -3" shorty, but uppers aren't in my budget.
