Thanks for all the replies!!! I'm having so much fun with this boat over my old 232 Boss 496 HO. I'm running 502's 27 P Mirage Plus props and with 5 people on bored acording to the speedo it read 82 mph and on the GPS it said 74 @ 4650 RPM. Can the Gaffrig monster guages be that far out? do these numbers sound about right? I have ordered the IMCO manifold and the RPM kits from CP. They should be in this week, I'll keep you all posted. And I would also like to say that I love the way it jumps the ferry waves. I gotta get somebody with a camera to show you guys.

hey bj... sounds like you are having fun with that new toy. I got my gils on last week. Its tuff to say how much ive gained. All my big tops speed records are during cool nites and its stinkin hot right now. But!!!!!! My 502 is modded and it seems to be much quicker to top end and be more willing to rev. I have new props and will try again with the current cool nights. One thing I thought was cool , the under hood heat is WAYYYYYYYYYY lower with the new alum units. That has to help the hp due to cooler intake charge. I was hoping for more for the $$$ but het.. what the hell.

BJ,
I can tell you this....I love my GIL's....They are dry and sound KILLER!! Loud as Hell! My boat is actually louder than my buddy scarab with twin 800 sc's w/stelling headers (wet)!
Hey my point is, even if you don't get a gain in speed, your sh*t is going to sound like you have monster power!!
