Is your ignition turned on? On our 275 the key needs to turned on for the trim button to work otherwise I have to use the trim and trailer to raise the drive.

Same type of issue. My trim switch on the throttle will only raise my starboard engine. If I use trailer + the trim switch it works. Of course, even though I wasn't having an issue with the trims, when I had the drives service (can't do it as I don't have a trailer and keep it on a lift) they told me that the trim sender was going and that they would get me a new one under my extended warranty. Needless to say they installed it and of course now it doesn't work (there is a new sender there). I have to have them pull it and since they were "busy" and then the weather went downhill I guess I will be in the Keys for a week adjusting my trim with the trailer button.

The trim limit switch or wiring on the side of the gimbal
ring is at fault. ( the one labeled "TL" )
Most generally, you'll find a broken wire going to the switch.
If the wiring and the switch are ok, check and see if the
hinge pin is loose......the hinge pin is what rotates the trim
limit switch.
