I run a 98 302 with the white windscreen coming from a 25 OL. The room in the 302 sold immmediately as I was sure I wanted a 29OL. The low white windscreen was the only oprion for me on the 302 as I do not like windshields. My only complaint is that the windscreen s a little high or the bolsters are a little low. You can't see over the winscreen while crusing a slower speeds. I have raised my bolster and inch but need one more tobut need alum trualer don here too! make it good. I run the mags and can run 72 on gps in freshwater
Also like the screen vs shield!

Im in the same boat, Trying to unload my 25 and move up looking at the same things, but we are also looking at 29 scarabs and 28 doniz's also. I just really like to room of the 302 and the looks of the 29. Its a hard decision, I am also finding that it is hard to find one with everything i want in the price range too, most hae the 7.4 mpi and I would want mag at a min and would also like hyd steering, but its tuff to find it all. Agree on the 33!! But it would be about 200000 pennies more than I wanted to spend, but love that boat!

Thats not a bad looking boat actually, big stereo too.
Maybe because its only a "double axle" but, the trailer wheels look REALLY far back on the trailer?

A 29 with extension boxes will ride much better than one without.
I'm not pitching what I have for sale, I'm just sharing what my experience has been.
I've tinkered with mine to the point I know where & what it takes to make one perform.
I wouldn't want one without boxes. I would want one with a high X dimension. I would want one without superchargers. I would want a trailer with wheels & tires over-rated for capacity & brakes on all 3 axles. I would want one with full hydraulic steering & K-planes.
There are less expensive options out there, but what are you willing to sacrifice in boat to save & eventually be unhappy with because you saved a few grand?
