Default Sunk 1996 Boss 302

Any of you want to watch and see, there is 96 Boss 302 on crashedtoys.com. the auction ends in 1 hr. Weird thing is it has old 454 carb engines........ Buy it now 10K. currently at $2,800. No trailer. Im guessing it will go close to the 6-8k mark???

Any one know of this boat? MC tags.

more info incase some one google's this HIN later in life and the new owner dosent disclose it sat on the bottom of a lake for "extended perion of time"

Details:
1996 BAJA BOSS 302. WITH KEYS, THIS UNIT WAS SANK AND THE ENGINES WILL NOT FIRE UP, ALSO THIS BOAT DOES NOT COMES WITH A TRAILER. THE ENTIRE HULL IS WATER STAINED BUT DOESNT APPEAR TO HAVE ANY NOTABLE SCUFFS OR SCRATCHES, THE KEEL IS CHIPPED ON A COUPLE SPOTS, THE RUB RAIL IS SCUFFED AND SOME OF THE EMBLEMS ARE FADED BUT OTHER THAT THE REST OF THE EXTERIOR HAS USUAL WEAR FOR THE YEAR. THIS UNIT WAS SUBMERGED FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME, ALL THE SEATS AND FURNITURE IN THE CABIN ARE WATER STAINED, THE CARPET IS STAINED AND WORN, THE CABIN CEILING LINER IS SOFT AND PEELING OFF, THE AUDIO SYSTEM AND OTHER ELECTRONICS TOOK IN WATER AND THE WIRING IS BEGINNING TO RUST. THE CONTROL CONSOLE HAS SEVERAL SCREW HOLES LEFT BY REMOVED ACCESSORIES, THE DECK IS SCUFFED AND STAINED AND THERE IS WATER IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. THIS UNIT IS POWERED WITH TWIN MERCRUISER 7.4L Â INBOARD ENGINES HOWEVER THE FLUIDS TOOK IN WATER AND THEY WILL NOT TURN OVER. THE PROPELLER SEEM TO BE IN GREAT SHAPE AND THE REST OF THIS UNIT IS NICE WITH USUAL WEAR.

I wonder how long is "an extended period of time". Would it even be worth rebuilding? If it sat under water for a while I'm sure the stringers and transom were penetrated. At least I would thing. I guess sell the b1 units and maybe parts off the engines? But to rebuild it would cost a lot I'm guessing.

Yep! And when it's finished, no matter HOW nice it is, it will STILL be a 1996 Boat that had previously sunk, hope the new owner likes it because he is probably gonna own it forever

Such a shame...and after the money you put into it, it will still outweigh what it's worth. Make more parting it out then rebuilding it.

Looks like at $5500 the reserve was not met. The Buy it now came down 1K tho.

Also crashedtoys has some pretty high gate fees, buyer fees, loading fees, fees for the fees, paper fees, ect. At about 5500 it would cost a guy prob 62-6300 to get it out the door. And that dosent include the $200 a year membership fee...
