What about CD PLAYERS ????
I have a 232 BOSS and myu clarion CD receiver is so cheap! Even the sound of my engine makes it skip!
I am looking for the new Sony G-Force MP3. It is supposed to handle shocks. and bumpy rides. Any suggestions?

DigitalMan,
Congrats on the new boat. I'm sure your love it!
I also have a 232. However, my amplifier is mounted just under the bench seat, on the side very close to the top. I'd have a problem with it mounted on the floor, not just because of water when running, but when cleaning your boat. I run the garden hose inside the boat when cleaning and if I don't remove all the items from under the bench seat they get wet.

I have two RF amps mounted under the rear bench, one powers a pair of kicker free air 10 inch subs in the bench seat. The other powers two sets of kicker separates. I also have another RF amp located in the cuddy powering a solar-baric enclosed sub up front. On a really hot day, and really pushing my stereo, the amps under the seat may cut out if they get too hot. This has only happened two or 3 times in the last 4 years. Not too bad, and they are hidden. I never have a problem with water.
