2002 Baja 25 Outlaw SST:
496mag ho
-lost initial motor with only 9 hrs. Mercruiser and Trail Marine in Gulf Shores Alabama were AWESOME!!! No problems at all and had my boat back and in the water in 1 week (yup-I said 1 week). Mercruiser even sent me 2-50.00 coupons off of Mercruiser products for my troubles and gas mileage.
-replaced Corsa tips with Corsa thru hull angled tips (sounds awesome)!!! (did not notice a damn thing)!!!
-replaced stock flame arrestor thinking I would see better performance (did not notice a damn thing)!!! I was really disappointed!!!
-already had a bolster seat start tearing apart.
So, boat is running 67mph top end with 1/2 tank of fuel or better. GPS reading is about 1 mph slower than Gaffrig guages show.
I have an extended warranty and 4 plus more years on engine life. Anyone have a new Pro Charger????? I was thinking about low boost to keep it safe!
Thanks, Dean

Chris is 100% right.
Speed is expensive. Whipple or Pro Chrager is the way to go, however you need hydraulic steering and you will be money ahead to sell your bravo while it has valve (IE, isn't blown up) and put an Imco Extreme on from the get go.
Figure about $12 to $14K for everything to do it right.
Should see close to 80 MPH.
I hear the 25 will handle it well.

CFD 5 has a 01 25 Outlaw with a 496HO. He put a procharger on it, runs 3 psi boost and has gotten 75.7 GPS to date. Usually sees about 73-74 with less than 1/2 tank of fuel. Actually the boat is currently for sale. Boat needs a little work for the PC to fit, but he has been very happy with it. One thing though, he did grenade a B1 drive this summer. AS was said above, speed is expensive.........

I also have a 25 outlaw with a 502 mag. The best I have seen is 68mph with 1/4 tank of fuel and 2 passengers. This was with a 23 mirage, not Baja's 23 Mirage plus. With the stock 23 mirage plus the best ever was 66.5. I don't Know what the difference is but 1.5 mph was a big difference from a prop my budy just gave me for a spare.
