Question Hey 232 Owners...

I am looking for information on the Baja 232 (cuddy) and would like the owners opinions on this boat. (likes/dislikes, problems etc)

Also, please post your specs (year, engine, hp, top speed etc)

Thanks in advance

Default I have a 96 with a 330 454

I love the boat, for its size it handles the waves very well, it has all the nice options of more expensive boats like pop up cleats, drop down bolsters, anchor locker, dual sticks. I installed bennet dual piston 12x16 tabs, well worth the money in my opinion.

top speed fully loaded w/ 4 people is right about 60, light load and fuel 63.

dislikes,,, none really... could use a little more power, maybe 454 mag.

I have a 2002 with a 496mag (375)
I have to agree with Chris232 I love the boat.
Top speed loaded w/ 4 people is right about 65, light load two people and fuel 68.

Dislikes...The only thing I wish it had was better access to the storage area under the bench seat, or maybe room for a intergraded cooler under the seat.

Love the boat, and you will too.! We use it on the Mississippi, and it handles the waves very well. Trim tabs should be a must, and the most power you can afford.

Mine's a 97 with a tweaked 330 carb, labbed 25 pitch mirage. 68mph with 2 people and half tank of gas. Would luv to get it into the 70's.

Does anybody have problems with porposing around 45mph-60? Mine seems to with the only cure being a lil bit of tab. I lose 2 mph with the tabs. Might be able to hit the 70's if i could put them all the way up.!

Thanks for the replys guys!!

So with the stock 7.4, 60mph can still be had. Good.

And the Mag is good for about 5mph more.

The cooler thing doesn't bother me too much, as I am use to tripping over mine now anyways

All good info!!

Keep em coming!!

Any one know how the 6.2's are doing in these? The hp is about the same as the 7.4 but there must be some sort of weight savings with the small block.

Your thoughts??

I love my 232 in the rough stuff! Handles great for a small boat! Mine has a built 502/500hp and jumps out of the hole like a jet ski. Plently of room for my family of three, but we are looking for a larger boat. Mine is for sale if anyone is interested. 1997 Boss with every option. Check out : http://photos.yahoo.com/bc/clifthoma...tos.yahoo.com/

or write me for pics and info @ [email protected]. I am asking $29000 or best offer.
