232 - 7.4 MPI speed?
As anyone made things that improved performance on that configuration ?
Stock Config. : 7.4 MPI, direct exhaust, 4 550 RPM WOT, Mirage plus 23" :::: 61.2 GPS
Thinking of K&N flame arrestor and lab finishing prop to 24" pitch (200 rpm less for picth and 200 more for thining the blades) RPM should then stay in 4 550 range.
Any constructive comments?
Thanks

save your money and leave it stock= turnkey, all those mods are minimal in my opinion, wait and rebuild a stroger motot or re power with a 454 mag or 502, I think Teague has a good upgrade kit for your engine

JS232 k&n & labbing is it worth it/?
Liquid is some what right ,in my opinion,yes labbing a K&N FILTER ARE VERY MINIMAL AS re-powering to a bigger motor . That would be no dought the best ,I have never had to decide, if I would spend 250.00 on a prop to get a couple of mph maybe three and add the expense of the flame arrestor,not sure how much that is but it would also depend on how much money I have or make?many do and many don't,but the one thing, I know about a stock propeller is they are not truly balanced properly ,I see this everyday and some, I cant believe how badly out of balance they are. AND SOME STOCK PROPELLERS could use a little additional cupping added which will increase the performace of the prop in many diffrent (ranges) midrange,planing out time is quicker,and turning with reduced cavaitation,and a tad more top end speed.thus increasing the longivity of the gears in the outdrive,maybe this is one reason merc racing as well as WE do offer this. it's just up to the customer and what he really want's/

Yes, do the prop, leave the rest alone. Your stock GPS speed is pretty much right on.
If your boat has any significant hours on it, pull the distributor cap and check for corrosion inside. If there is any, just replace the cap and rotor (maybe $30 total). This has gained me 50 - 75 rpms in the past.
