In the Market for an Outlaw (1992-1996)
I'm in the market for a 1993-1996 24" Outlaw. I have my eye on a 96 24' Outlaw 502 w/500HP.
Does any know if this was an option for the 96 Outlaw?
Also, does anyone know where to get specs sheets on Outlaws?
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
S.

I've got a 95 24 Outlaw, but unfortunately it is not for sale this season. It will be in sept-oct. It has a Whipplecharged 454 Mag. If you're still lookin at the end of 2004, drop me a line. Look further down in the Baja section for a few pics. It's a great lookin' and very fast boat.

By the way, according to the factory brochures, the HP 500 was an option in 96. are you talking about a 500hp 502, or the Mercury blue HP 500? The Merc blue HP 500 is 470 hp.

Re: In the Market for an Outlaw (1992-1996)
Thanks for all the information. I'm looking at a 1996 OL which the owner told me has the 502 with 500 HP option. He is the original owner and the boat and engine has only 200 hrs. He also told me that the boat came stock with Latham steering. He asking $25K or best, but the boat was run in salt water since new, but kept on a lift at his dock when not in use. The boat was also stored in doors for the off season. I'm wondering now if 200 hrs in salt water would hurt the engine? or should I not even look at the boat. I have always boated in fresh water and I'm being told by my buddies I shouldn't even consider it.
Thanks

Oh, by the way the salt water depends on how well the owner took care of it. When I run mine in salt I flush it for 15 minutes w/ salt away, everytime right when it's pulled from the water.

with the 500 hp at 200 hrs it is time to change the valve springs. salt will tear them up you really need to take care of them.
