I just replaced my 99 H2X with a 2005 25' OL from Alton Blakley Watersports. It does'nt have the HO, but from what I understand, that's $10K for a cam and ECU tune. I love it!!! The lake I boat on is rough as hell, and this boat is great on it. The boat rides good, has plenty of room, and is very solid. The salesman at the dealership was great. He offered to deliver the boat personally, and pick up mine, on his day off. I knew what I was looking at when I got there, and he did'nt feed me any crap. I actually got the boat for just a few thousand cheaper than I could have bought a used one that was two years old.

I pull the boat with a 1/2 ton 2WD Chevrolet X-cab truck with the 5.3L motor that's all stock. No problems at all.

I am the owner of the 25OL that was with baja36ft in NYC a couple weekends ago. We had a great time and I can tell you my 25OL handles fantastic. The water in the hudson can get a bit crazy and I was confident in my OL to handle it. I run a 22p Hydromotive worked on by Matt and Julie at Throttle up. I am running in the 69's on gps with a full tank of gas and 2 people on the boat. The boat gets on plane super fast and even at WOT the boat handles fantastic.

Showdown,

If you get rid of the cooler, the passenger and a little more gas you should hit 70. Take pic and post!!!

How does that tatle - tale feature work; where's the recall button located? I was thinking about ordering one from Livorsi.

CasinoRunner,

The tattle-tale is simply a toggle that I mounted directly above my depth finder which would be to the right of the steering wheel ( probably not the easiest placement due to the thickness of the dash at that point ) it has a recall side and an erase side. I ordered mine from Livorsi, they sent a complete kit and it was very easy to install. I will post after this weekend when I lighten up a little.
