I am in agreement with everyone with the added information. I believe the 99 is a bit slower. I only ran with a GPS a few times but my best was 75.1 MPH and I do run in salt water. I think there may be a little more there as I do hit the rev limiters. I have been able to hit 80 on the Speedo which I enjoy when I have newbies onboard. I don't educate them on the difference between GPS and Speedo Bigwavz...are you running a Whipple?

2002 model, 500 EFI's completely stock with Bravo 4-blade labbed 26 pitch props.

Fresh water, 5200 RPM the best we have seen on GPS is 74 MPH.

It will run 71 to 72 almost any time except in flat water.

The boat is really heavy, we have almost every option including A/C, plus a ton of accessories, all my wife's stuff, fuel + people and stuff.

When you factor in the weight, handing, ride, room (cockpit & cuddy) and safety it is not too bad for a true deep vee boat!

Hope this helps!

I just bought a 36 so in a few months i'll tell you how fast it will go with around 1500 total HP.
I have a 99 36 with twin 605 ci. John Lingenfelter built 750hp engines. I am running Imco Extreme Sc drives that are 2 1/2 inches shorter than stock on Land & Sea 8" extension boxes with Herring 6-Blades. Best speed to date is 95 GOS and 96 speedo in fresh water (Lake Huron). This was done in September on a 72 degree day with a two foot shop. The boat will run 92 in dead flat water. Let me know how yours runs with the whipples. I am curious to see what kind of speed you get out of it. It took me a few years to dial mine in to where I am today.

I do most of my boating in Port Huron but I do get down that way a few times a year. Do you also have a 36?

I've got a 33'.I thought you were from this area, how did you get hooked up with Lingenfelter? You don't see too many people running his stuff. How do they run? Do they idle good around the docks? Can you tape record the way they sound so I can listen to them in the shower in the morning.
