Re: How Fast 24 Outlaw w/502 mag???
Hey GREAT graphics! Just like my 93 24 OL only different colors. I dropped a 525SC in mine this past summer. The 525SC was about 10 years old when I bought it. On GPS she ran 77mph. I tore into the engine this winter and had it worked over. I hope to get 80 mph this summer. You should look into maybe longer trim tabs. I have found with more HP I HAVE to use the tabs more. There is so much torque that the boat leans when I drive so I had a custom set of tabs made. I went from 11 inches to 15 inches. Those are on the to do list for this winter. Also If you do not have it, hydraulic steering. If it goes over 70, you need it. That is one more thing that will be added to my girl this winter. So much to do, so little time. Here is a pic if my girl

Liquid,
Your right. Not many boats over 23-23' run over 70 with 502. Not bragging, but our 32' Y2K ( 30' at waterline ) does over 74 on the GPS with a single 496HO. Check out his threads and pics.

Re: How Fast 24 Outlaw w/502 mag???
Bajas need power to move... my last boat was a Shooter with a blown 454... about 548Hp per dyno, and I was seeing about 75 with a labbed Bravo 1. Thought I would see more. My 302 with twin 502s does 75 lightly loaded, but will hit 73 all the time. However, midrange usable power has always been great.
I don't think they are the most effecient hulls, but the new designs look much better.

"Classic offshore lines"!
That's why I bought an Outlaw. I couldn't afford a Cig at the time so they were the best looking for the price.
