Dirtlawyer,
I didn't get radical with the rebuild. Fairly mild bump in camming(Crane flat hydraulic E234 .525 I222 .529 114LSA) and Gil Offshore exhaust were the only major changes. Reliability was my first concern.
I only ran it once after the work was complete and then only to about 4000 RPM until I get a few hours on the clock. Power increase was quite noticeable especially through midrange which I attribute to the dual pattern cam. I'll have to reprop come spring. Currently running a Hydromotive Quad 22 and am thinking a 24 may get me about 72 to 73 MPH.
Sounds like your build should be fairly potent with the compression increase(good bye regular). What cam? Any clearance problems with the roller rockers?

JimmyBaja, Yep, thats me. I usually get up to Cottonwood about once a month in the summer. Its a long haul from Bellevue. At the Anchor Inn a lot though. Next summer I'll be in the Pantera I just got, so stop by and introduce yourself. Scott.

Griff, I understand the Bellevue to Cottonwood trip. I am also at the Bellevue Marina. Got a slip late in the year. I live in Des Moines and drive over for the weekends. Had a hard time locating indoor winter storage, but just got it inside last week.

JB, I was on Pier 5, slip 6 at the marina. Hopefully I'll be able to get a bigger slip this year. If you need storage next year, let me know. A friend of mine does indoor for $40-50 a month and I know of another guy that was 250-300 for the 6 months.

All depends where you bought Griff......of course I bought a few years back--AGRESSIVELY-- and am just getting lambasted. Wish I had some $$ in my account, some spectacular buys right now.
Tank, I saw a 30 Eliminator, pulled by a Black Ford Expl with some frickin' unGodly lift on it, Jensen written on the back windows. He was towing the boat pulling out of a gas station onto Pac Coast highway right there in Newport Beach. One of your boys....??

I do agree with it being a great time to BUY,BUY,BUY. Those who do should do very well over the next few years.
