I really doubt you're going to see 72 with a 26". It may struggle to get on plane. If it does, I would guess you would max out around 4700-4800 rpm. It sounds like you've got good speeds already for a stock setup. Make sure to post your results.

My 24 has a 26'' and planes quicker than my mirage 23, and does not blow otut and does it with no tabs, props are funny, you never know until you try

I have 2001 25 outlaw 454 Mag. I can run 65 all day. I can inch 67 or 68 on perfect water. All I have done to mine is installed gill offshore exhaust. It raised my rpm,s about 225. I'm running a 23 prop on now and going to change to a 25 just to see!!

There is considerable differences between the 24 and the 25.
1 foot longer,4 inches wider, 750 pounds heavier, notched transom, notched spray rails, just for starters. I owned a 98 25
with a 502 mag that ran 66 mph on gps all day long and mine was one of the fastest around here in the north country. With
a 496/375 I would expect to see 62 to 63 with a full tank and load. just my .02

GARSHEV, you are wrong in to ways ,the 25 is only 250 lbs heavier and 2'' wider

OOPS. I goofed again but why quibble about 2 inches of beam
(at least thats what my wife tells me).The 96 brochure lists the 24 as weighing 4000# while the newer brochures lists the 25 at 4750# seems like 750 # to me.

I own a 1997 24 outlaw that weighs 4500 dry I wouldn't argue if it was'nt a fact , trust me I would kill to weigh 4,000 it would be a whole lot easier to get 70 mph ( check the archives for a 1998 24 se on www.bajamarine.com)

FEVER, no I wish , I just have a 24 outlaw, but I just got it this winter so I guess it'll do for this season
