More History sought on '24 Banana Split #14
Charlie Jr,
Thanks for the info and pics of #14.
I'm sure you can tell I'm trying to move forward on buying it.
Is there any more info on that boat or who raced it, what year it was converted to plasure?
Who swapped in the stock interior, groovy windshield and cabin?
Who rigged the Mercs and jack plates?
Was any of it done by You guys?
I'm trying to figure what year all this happened and age on the motors etc.
Thanks For your help
Evan

Evan:
No - unfortunately I only have construction details. It was built as a race boat for a guy in CA so I assume it has been out there all of it's life. Originally it had a three-man bolster and the long racing dash. I believe that is why there is no console on the current boat...
Please let us all know how you make out with it. Good Luck!!
Here's a sister-ship of the same era. It had a large windshield as it was owned and raced by a 67 year old!
