Ok, I need to know, before I sell this tunnel hull that goes 70+ w a single 200 and ski prop to sink my ass in restoring a Banana.
How fast is your Boat and what kind of power does it take to get there?

Evan:
My boat runs and it has a single 225 Yamaha and tops out just about 60 stripped and light on fuel (picture attached). Twin 200's should get you an honest 70+.
What happened to you anyway...I'm confused...didn't you buy another boat?- now you're selling it? Why?
As far as your other questions in the other posts, I think you need to check with upholstry shop, glass expert, etc. in your area. Perhaps the guy that you mentioned who got Xio into the boat in the first place could be a big help? Also you asked about problem areas...check the usual things like stringers and transom. Again it sounds like your contact out there could provide you with some valuable input (and it sounds like he did already when he told you about the transom etc.)
Good luck with it and let us know if you buy it!

Hi Charlie,
I bought a low profile tunnel hull which is great for the little river I live on, but I'm getting pounded to hell just going over small wakes so I'm selling it to get a boat I can stand up and drive and now Xiao's friend is giving good info so that is moving in the right direction.
This boat is fun and we are going to play with props and tuning this week to see if we can get more out of it, currently 70 mph w 200 Yama. 25P Quicksilver, full gas and 260# driver, and all gear.
But it aint gonna do the upcoming Poker runs.
Thanks
Evan

I'd tell you how fast mine is with a 225 Evinrude but my speedo pitot was broken last year and had no gps. This year its all fixed and have gps but havn't got wet yet. Busy getting a new trailer, cockpit cover, and now I'm doing some glass work. So a couple more weeks for me.

Banana with a stock 200 hp mercury on the transom with a 19p prop goes 55mph on a cold day if the motor is strong and you are light.
Banana with a built 300 hp Johnson (315-350hp?), on a 17" setback hydraulic bracket with a nose cone, low water pick-up and a 24 p chopper goes 0mph...

LOL, Chris that is too FUNNY ...Hey the one in my driveway with a custom bult race hull. Goes just about as fast, and since the trailer is junk I'm afraid to even move it.
