Dregz said $6000 for the yellow one in California.
As for speeds. My boat goes 55mph with a bone stock 200hp mercury hanging on the transom.
It will go 65mph with a stock 300hp outboard.
If you bracket either one you will gain around 5-7mph.
Twin stock 200 mercs will make it go 70mph.
I can't imagine that the yellow boat goes 83 with stock 225's hanging on the transom, but I have never driven a Banana with that set up so I am only guessing.
Good luck with your search.

Jr..... Yes, that is one that we made.....all the other questions you ask are ones that a good survey will give you the real answers to.

Hi Mike,
Sorry it took me a little while to find the thread, I wasn't subsribed to this one since I hadn't any input on it, (I was gone a few days delivering a Fountain too)
I never saw #14 run but while we were negotiating I had them take it out for a compression check which I recall was good, they also had the carbs in one motor rebuilt though I begged them not to do anything that would bring the price up since I have my own guy to do the work
They say the motors are running good and smooth and the 225s are on jack plates not the transom and it has huge K-
planes
I was told "83 MPH on GPS", and told them they would have to back that up on the water test prior to the sale.
Just to be clear, the Stringers are wet, not rotten,
I can send a copy of my survey over if needed. unless you want to do your own, but I can't see why.
If you were serious about the boat, call the marina that did the motor work, I can prolly find the compression numbers that were reported to me, I think it was all near 110, and I'll send over the survey.
The owner is a nice guy, not knowledgeable about boats and not a pushover either.
