1988 Banana Boat 24ft. I'm considering selling
We bought a 1988 Banana boat from CN about 6yrs ago and brought it back to our home in Oregon. As of today my husband and I are considering selling it.
There is no hull damage, the twin black max 200's run great but the deck needs repainted and the inside seats could use some upholstery work.
I was thinking of listing it for... just wondering what these are currently going for...
Any ideas would be great.

Hi Oregon 24,
That is Art's old boat.
Very nice machine.
I have like 20 pictures of it from 10 years ago.
How are the engines running? 1989 vintage if I remember right.
As for price, it all depends on how fast you want to move it.

Banana boats are one of the best boats for their size and price. I have had two, a 1990 that I purchased 6 years ago for $8,500 with a single merc 225 that needed nothing and a brand new custom built by Charlie as seen on his web site... That one is fantastic.....the only problem in selling a banana is that most people do not know the name and think a banana is a long rubber tube used to pull tourist around the bay while on vacation... In the Northeast we all knew about these boats. When I was a kid all I wanted was a banana, I had a 20' checkmate that had a 200 but when my friend bought his banana with twoin 200's I had to have one... several years later and when I could finally afford one; I got two. the nice thing about the boat is that is is big enough to go anywhere and small enough to go anywhere. I would put the boat on a trailer and take it all over. I have been to Maine to FL with mine. Charlie Jr. was happy I did not see him in April as I would have gone right by him... (only kidding Charlie....lol) I had mine on ponds, lakes and 6 foot chop around Block Island always at full throttle the boat will not let you down. Price is up to you. once you can get someone to test drive it it will selll itself. good luck your boat looks great and it wil sell fast....

I did get my new (Not A Banana) boat on Saturday approx. 5:00 PM... took my daughter for a ride out to Goddard Park and it ran fine. turned back to return to Greenwich Bay when it would not get on plane.... called the company and they will be here today to check it out. must be something stupid but that is my luck. Charlie you are right there is a big difference between the twin engine and single.... need lots of practice time but hoping all is ready for Long Island on the 24th. Just a post script.. .it was something stupid of course.. spent two hours on it today and ran around newport and jamestown... miss my banana as my gas consumption went up 10 fold.
